Monday Made It! My New Bookshelf for School!

      I am linking up again for Monday Made It with 4th Grade Frolics.  I love this linky because it keeps me motivated to keep crafting and working on school stuff throughout the summer as well as getting some amazing ideas from all of those fabulous bloggers out there!

       My first project was to take large wooden letters, paint, and cover them with scrapbook paper.  I created the word READ for my classroom library.  Not sure yet if it will go on the top like shown below, or somewhere else in my classroom!

       So, last week I gave you a preview to my pallet project!  I have to give credit to the Pinterest Posts that I used to inspire this craft.  Click HERE and HERE to see what Pins inspired me!  

      Here are some almost finished pictures.  Click HERE to go see last week's preview.  Then come on back and check out the final project!  I took apart two pallets, put them into one, painted it, and then used spray adhesive to attach the hand prints.  I have been covering it with Modge Podge, but I still have a few coats left to go!  My students traced their hand prints on the last few days of school.  We used a book that had fallen apart!

Five for Friday...Loving Summer

      I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! I haven't linked up in a while, so I am giving some details from the last few weeks instead of just this one. (Sorry, I'm a cheater this week!)  I just have to say that I am really enjoying my summer! So, this is definitely a SUMMER edition of Five for Friday!

1.  I started my summer off with a great trip to Charlotte and to my favorite beach near Charleston, SC- Folly Beach!  I blogged about reading at the beach right after my trip.  I LOVED the BEACH!  I also got a new beach chair- shown in the second beach pic!

2.  Last weekend I came down to Cincinnati and brought my mom a little treat from German Village in Columbus!  My Grandpa used to make a Czech treat called Kolaches.  Apricot are the best! 

3.  This week I helped dog sit for a friend of my mom's.  This little lady is Lucy.  A cute, but crazy golden!

4.  I have been trying to run and bike as much as I can this summer.  I had a chance to ride two different bike trails recently!  One was in Columbus, called the Olentangy Trail and then this picture is of a bike trail in Cincy, that we rode a lot as kids.

5.  While dog sitting, I have had a time to get some projects done for TpT.  I wrote out my questions and answers almost a year ago for these two novel studies, so it was about time I finished!  Click HERE to check out the Thanksgiving on Thursday and HERE to head over to the Junie B. novel study!  Then you will be ready to go this fall!

Worksheet Wednesday- ELA Freebies

     Freebie time!  Everyone LOVES free stuff, right! I am linking up again with The Teaching Tribune for Worksheet Wednesday.

      

     Most of the freebies that I have on my TpT are more than one page.  So this is always a little challenging to look through my files and see what I have created recently that I can share!  Only when I was starting to type did I realize that the last freebie I shared for Worksheet Wednesday went with the same book.  Oh well!  Let's just say I like the book The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, just a tad! 

     The last one I shared HERE, was used when I taught first graders.  THIS freebie I used with my third graders.  The third grade Common Core requires students to differentiate between their own point of view and that of the characters.  I used this book as a read aloud to talk about point of view this year and then afterwards had the students complete this chart.
