I am linking up for Monday Made It over at 4th Grade Frolics! I have been busy crafting away and working on SO many projects, but most are not finished!! So, I decided to share even if they weren't all of the way finished!
My first Monday Made It is the unfinished project that I just had to share! I found some SUPER CUTE ideas on Pinterest that I am blending together to create my new bookshelf for my classroom. Here are are few highlights or a sneak preview!
I went to Lowe's and mentioned that I was a teacher. They said I could grab a few pallets from the back! So, I have begun my project. The word BOOK will be used, but you will have to wait until the final reveal to see the finished project! I had a little help with the sawing, but other than that I have done it mostly myself.
My second isn't necessarily something I made, but grew! I was able to pick a ton of lettuce, a few onions, and a beet yesterday! We planted a TON of veggies with the hope to can green beans and salsa to last throughout next year, as well as freezing some other goodies.
Last I wanted to share a packet I created recently for Third Grade Science and Social Studies that match Ohio's New Learning Standards. My third grade team spent a lot of time last year creating integrated units. One thing we noticed quickly was that while we spent a lot of time using exit slips in math, we didn't have a daily way to assess how students were doing with social studies and science concepts. So, as the year went on I began creating these exit slips I recently added them to Teachers Pay Teachers. While they are geared toward Ohio's New Learning Standards, they could be adapted to many state standards. Click on the picture to grab a copy!
Have a great week! Don't forget to head over to 4th Grade Frolics and check out the projects everyone has been busy working on!
